When empathy is lacking it causes stress and negativity which impacts our mental health and our relationships. In business it directly affects our people’s performance, impacts our customer experience and the bottom line.
Asking and being attentive to our colleagues and family costs us very little, but its impact is huge in their lives. Simply regularly asking “Are you okay”, Offering “How can I help” or just being available to listen, can change a single person’s perspective at a moment in time.
Let’s ensure that we are empathetic as leaders and members of our families and community. The people in our lives are what’s really important!!!
