What makes you unique?

Many things make you unique. To call out a few, your life experiences, gifts, and learned knowledge make you unique. There is no one else on the planet that is like you.
So you ask me, why is it so hard to be unique in my daily life? Why do I want to keep trying to conform to and meet others' views of who I should be? Well...
We have a stronger need to fit in than we have to be unique.
This does create quite a quandary for us because we constantly seek to identify and live out our uniqueness but want to avoid standing out.
It is easier to be accepted as unique if you have an exceptional talent or natural ability, for example, to play a musical instrument or to be a leader.
What can I do?
Learn to accept and love who you are. Realise that being unique does not mean you have to stand out and that you can be your unique right where you are.
Here are a few more suggestions:
Identify what you are passionate about. Pursue it.
Experience is best shared in stories. Share your story.
Growth comes through sharing life with diverse and unique people. Build a community.
Accept that you will get things wrong. Get up and go again.
Build a plan as if you have all the required resources to achieve your goals. But be clear about what's in and what's out.
Get on the road to your destination without everything being perfect. You can figure it out as you go.
Only you can choose to start this journey. Let's do it together.
